Welcome to MGM International Mortgage Corporation
Saj Habib, President and CEO of MGM International Mortgage Corp.
Saj Habib was born in Dubai of the United Arab Emirates on July 4, 1976. He was the first of four children and the only son born to Rashid and Anisa Habib. His father, Rashid, has retired from Citigroup after a successful banking career. Anisa, his mother, travels the world learning new language and cultures.
Saj Habib has chosen many places around the world to live and to study including Guam, Singapore, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Greece, and Pakistan. Graduating at the top of his business high school class, he then moved to Boston Massachusetts to study for his bachelor's degree as well as his MBA at Harvard and Bentley.
Citigroup scooped up Saj Habib very soon thereafter and began grooming him to follow in Rashid's footsteps. While Saj was honored to continue in the tradition of bankers in the Habib family, Saj felt the need to create his own destiny through his own career in the finance industry. "Eventually," Saj told his closest friends, "I will be walking down the street with my father, but people won't call me Rashid Habib's son. They'll call him Saj Habib's father."
After multiple recruiting attempts by several financial firms, Saj Habib finally gave in. He saw this as a way to step out of his father's Citigroup shadow and begin his own legacy. He finally accepted a position with New Century Mortgage Financial Corporation. Saj Habib was chosen to head out the struggling company's retail mortgage operation, where he took the company from stock valued at $5 to upwards of $50 per share with multiple splits. He also brought in over $1 billion in wholesale and retail annual volume.
Five years of much hard work and loyalty to New Century Financial, Saj Habib finally decided to head out on his own to create his own financial empire. Thus began the MGM International Mortgage Corporation.
